Merridian is seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Coordinator to support vendor communication, order management, and inventory accuracy for our Louisville store. This is a great fit for someone who enjoys organized systems, beautiful product, and the behind-the-scenes work that keeps a retail business running well.
- Create, process, and maintain purchase orders for stock, special orders, and custom items
- Communicate with vendors on pricing, availability, lead times, and order updates
- Track open orders and inbound shipments; keep the team informed on timing and changes
- Coordinate special orders for clients and designers in the POS/inventory system
- Maintain accurate product records including SKUs, descriptions, cost, and retail pricing
- Assist with resolving order and invoice discrepancies — short ships, damages, pricing errors
- Support showroom tasks related to new product arrivals
- Experience in purchasing, inventory coordination, or retail operations
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation
- Comfort with POS and inventory systems; proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets
- Clear, professional communication with vendors and internal teams
- Problem-solving mindset — calm when multiple orders and deadlines converge
- Genuine interest in furniture, textiles, and interiors

Drive measurable foot traffic and revenue through disciplined marketing execution, tracking, and optimization across all of Merridian's channels — social, email, paid media, direct mail, and in-store events.
- Manage all social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok) — daily posts and stories
- Own email marketing through Klaviyo with a weekly send cadence, staying 2–3 campaigns ahead
- Launch and manage paid media campaigns across Google Ads and Meta
- Track performance across all channels — ROI, ROAS, GA4, and bottom-of-funnel metrics
- Plan and execute monthly in-store events, including designer collaborations
- Capture showroom photography and content for social, campaigns, and website
- Lead weekly check-ins with ownership and produce end-of-week performance reports
- Conduct ongoing competitor analysis and identify uncovered market opportunities
- Hands-on experience managing social media, email marketing, and paid digital campaigns
- Proficiency with Klaviyo, Google Analytics (GA4), Google Ads, and Meta Ads Manager
- Strong understanding of SEO, SEM, and performance marketing metrics
- Eye for premium brand aesthetics and high-quality content creation
- Highly organized — able to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines at once
- Data-driven mindset with no tolerance for "set it and forget it" execution
- All campaigns must be trackable and measurable
- Consistent testing, learning, and optimization
- Strong attention to detail and brand standards
